I read Ann Coulter's column, but have not read your book. Here is the question: the first thing she mentions is

To wit:

— Women shouldn't vote: "What changed ... that explains the growth of government? The answer is women's suffrage."

Are you seriously suggesting that women shouldn't have been given the right to vote?

No, I am not saying that women shouldn't be able to vote, but I do think that it is an interesting and important question to explain why governments started growing around the world when they did. Some may view the growth as good because it means that governments were not previously taking into account the desires of women. Some such as Ann view it as a negative. On this score, I am just trying to use some economics to explain the world.

I might run out and pick up a copy of Freedomnomics as well!

I heard about what you basicly wrote about women voting and the growth of government a week ago when Ann spoke @ Xavier University.

I got her promotion of your book @ Xavier on video!

Afterward Ann came over and sat down right in front of me and started talking. I had no idea she was such a big fan   ;)
